Stephanie & Austin | Married

A Pavilion at Pepper Plantation Wedding | Charleston SC

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]tephanie and Austin’s wedding day is one that I have been waiting on for over a year. When I first moved back to Charleston, these two were the third couple ever to trust me for their wedding day. I remember meeting them for coffee and how down to earth and sweet they both were. They both have this way about them that makes everyone feel special and welcome. So when I showed up to Stephanie’s bridal cottage, I was not shocked that there were ten bridesmaids joyfully jamming out. If anyone is going to have that many women show up for that honor, it would 100% be Stephanie! Everyone is chatting about how in love Austin and Stephanie are, and honestly you have to see it. These two melt around each other and it is the sweetest thing to witness.

As the ceremony starts and everyone is getting into place, I keep looking at Austin. I watch as he shifts his feet while each of his buddies walk down the aisle towards him. Each shaking Austin’s hand as they take their place for the big moment. I always take a moment to look over at the groom in anticipation of seeing his bride, as most people are watching in the direction of where the bride will come from. I think it is so special that while everyone is looking at her, a few look at the groom. I watch as some groomsmen also steal a glance at Austin! And then something really special happens. Austin’s dad and best man, reaches his hand up and grabs Austin’s shoulder and squeezes it. Almost as if he was saying, “Get ready son”! At that moment the double doors of the pavilion open and out walks Stephanie. She is glowing with tears in her eyes and Austin is beaming with a smile from ear to ear! Tearfully, as Stephanie walks towards Austin, she takes a moment to stop at an empty chair. Sadly her father passed away last year, so in his honor she laid a flower down in his seat. I don’t think anyone including myself could stop the tears during this special moment.

Stephanie and Austin’s wedding day was filled with love! From the friends and family that gathered to celebrate them, to all of the special moments where these two took the spotlight off of themselves to honor those dearest to them. It is easy to see why so many people love these two so much. Stephanie and Austin, hold such a special place in my heart and I am so honored to be the one to help tell their story! Mr & Mrs Wright, I pray that you continue to love and honor each other the way that you do today for the rest of your lives! I love you both! And I can not wait to continue to watch your journey as husband and wife!
