Meghan & Zack | A Merchants Hall Wedding Day
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen Meghan and I met up for wine to see if I was her girl almost a year ago, neither of us had an inkling of what the year would bring. We laughed over Pinot Grigio and reminisced over our mutual love for Disney World. We planned the perfect April day for her and Zack… but April came and plans changed. Meghan and Zack decided to move their once in a lifetime day to June due to Covid-19, but they still honored their original wedding day with eloping with sand between their toes on Edisto Island this April.
I mean, I might be biased, but I think getting to marry the love of your life TWICE is pretty sweet when you think about it. Meghan and Zack flawlessly moved their dream wedding to a sunny June day. When I walked into Meghan’s getting ready house, I finally was able to meet her mom, sisters and best friends. Their wedding day was finally going to have all of the special people in their lives that they hoped would be there, and those who couldn’t would get a front row seat via video calls.
During the ceremony, I may have gotten misty-eyed as the violinist played songs from Disney faves like Tangled. I mean, have you heard the Tangled soundtrack? And y’all know I am such a sucker for anything Disney related. Their entire day was exactly how I envisioned it would be for Meghan and Zack. These two could not stop beaming from ear to ear and sneaking the sweetest kisses. Being an honorary guest at Merchants Hall during their special day showed me how much both of these two give to those around them. Hearts so big that it is hard not to fall in love with them both. I watched as they took time to not only greet every guest, but to literally sit down with them and thank them for being there for them. And it was so beautiful to see, especially in times like this year. It showed that the things that matter the most for weddings is that you get to marry the love of your life and you get to celebrate with your loved ones.
Meghan and Zack, it was an absolute HONOR to be the one to tell your love story. And in a sea of fog that the world is in right now, I hope that you always remember these words… “And at last I see the light, And it’s like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light, and it’s like the sky is new. And it’s warm and real and bright. And the world has somehow shifted… All at once everything looks different. Now that I see you!!” I love you both!
