Shelley & Josh | A Lowndes Grove Brunch Wedding

Lowcountry Valet at Lowndes Grove

Shelley and Josh | A Lowndes Grove Brunch Wedding

One thing that I am absolutely loving about weddings this year.. they are all filled with intention because of how 2020 has gone! And Shelley and Josh’s River House at Lowndes Grove Brunch Wedding was exactly that! 20 of their closest friends stepped onto the lawn overlooking the Ashley River to celebrate as Shelley and Josh said “I Do”!

The day started with Shelley getting ready at the gorgeous Andrew Pinckney Inn! As soon as I walked in, I could feel the mix of excitement and nervousness. As Shelley put her final touches on before heading to Lowndes Grove to get dressed, she opened a special gift from Josh! Shelley explained about how Josh was a writer and always sends her the most heartfelt love notes. As Shelley carefully read every word Josh wrote to his bride, she held back tears.

It was time to head to Lowndes Grove to finish getting ready! As we drove around the bend of the driveway, we were met with a gorgeous blue sky day overlooking the estate of the Lowndes Grove home. Shelley slipped her gorgeous gown on, and adjusted her veil before it was time to let her dad see his girl. When I say it was one of the sweetest first looks, I don’t think any of us were able to hold back our tears.

As the guests took their seats on the lawn, it was time for Josh to finally see his bride! Shelley and her dad walked through the open doors of The River House and down the steps to join Josh at the altar! Shelley and Josh shared their personal vows to one another before Josh asks for a gift that he brought to the ceremony. Shelley is a huge Bachelor fan, and Josh had one final rose that he wanted to hand to his bride. It wouldn’t have been complete with out Josh asking if Shelley would “accept his final rose!”

Shelley and Josh then invited their family and friends to High Cotton for a brunch reception. They hung behind to take portraits on the property with their Rolls Royce from Lowcountry Valet! And then took the car past Limehouse St where Josh proposed to Shelley!

Shelley and Josh, I don’t know how I got blessed with y’all to ask me to be on this journey with you! But I am so thankful that I got to be the one to help you re-live your day! I love you both! And I hope that these favorite images of mine bring back so many laughs and happy tears for you when you scroll through them!

XO Natasha
