Legare Waring House and Downtown Charleston Engagement Session

[dropcap]J[/dropcap]oanie and Mike traveled to Charleston back in November! We set up their engagement session, which was also going to be the first time I met these two in person!! I met them and their families at Legare Waring House! Joanie and Mike are getting married on Halloween this year at the other property at Charlestowne Landing, Founders Hall! And their venue holds a special place in my heart, because that is where Mike and I got married back in 2011.

Joanie and Mike asked me about Disney, which you know I love!! And we chatted about their wedding day! These two have an incredible playful nature with each other. So the giggles came natural. We made our way back to the house for these two to change outfits, before driving downtown. I gave their parents the name of a local pub that they could hang out at while we made our way through the historic district. These two made it look so so easy. At the end of their session, they asked if they could put on their jerseys. You see, these two are HUGE Washington Wizards basketball fans! So they had custom jerseys made with their wedding day put on the back! Seriously the cutest idea for a save the date.

A few weeks later, as I sent them their gallery, Joanie asked if I could hold off from posting anymore pictures for anyone to see. She wanted to surprise their families with the portraits for Christmas. Which I absolutely ADORE! Joanie and Mike, I am so incredibly excited to join you on your wedding day! Thank you for being so amazing to hang out with. And thank your parents for being the absolute sweetest! I can’t wait to hug them at your wedding in October.
