The Cedar Room Charleston Wedding

Nothing I can put into words would accurately describe Callie and Spencer’s wedding… but I am going to try!

Callie and Spencer are some of my favorite people EVER. From the first time we chatted to eating pizza and drinking beer after their engagement session, I knew that these two were my people.

 

Callie and Spencer MET at a wedding y’all! And today it was their turn to bring all of their friends and family together to say “I Do”! From walking into the getting ready suite with music blaring, to the sweetest first look, to THE BEST BRIDAL PARTY who full on hyped everyone up the entire day, to a surprise dance Callie’s moms and her friends pulled off to honor her Grandmother who was an extra in Dirty Dancing. There was no moment left without tradition and surprise.

 

First Looks

Such intimate and special moments during all of these first looks! Callie presented her dad with this beautiful handkerchief. Patrick’s reaction when he Callie her in her wedding gown for the first time was absolutely priceless.

First Look Bride and Groom

Spencer and Callie shared a first look in front of the infamous Mills House Hotel pink wall! Spencer shifted his feet as we fluffed Callie’s train. And when he turned around to see his bride, his smile went from ear to ear. We built in plenty of time for bride and groom portraits. Then, we captured the sweetness of the entire bridal party showering these two with love and laughter.

The Cedar Room Charleston Wedding Ceremony

The open, air-space at The Cedar Room Charleston was the perfect setting for this intimate wedding. The hardwood floors, historic columns and rustic brick added a unique flair. Under a white floral and greenery display, Callie and Spence exchanged vows and said “I do”.

The Reception

The Cedar Room Charleston wedding reception was filled with gorgeous florals and a pale blue palette that was breathtaking. Every detail was thought out with great intention. The amazing and talented planning team at Bouquets and Bowties knocked this space out of the park with the vendor team. First dances, heartfelt toasts and lots and lots of dancing made for a magical evening.

Callie and Spencer, y’all are one of a kind! And I truly mean that. I don’t know how I got the honor to be your photographer and friend. But I can not thank you enough for letting me be a part of your lives. Because y’all truly are so special to me. I had the time of my life, and I owe it all to you!! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Carnes! Love you both so much!
