It all started in Kentucky for this love story. Lizzie and Tyler are both from Kentucky, growing up about an hour from each other. It wasn’t until these two met through mutual friends that the love story really begins. And like most love stories, this one came down to a decision. When Tyler was matched to MUSC for his residency, it meant he would be moving to Charleston. Would Lizzie stay in Kentucky or move to Charleston? Lizzie decided that she would join Tyler in the Holy City, and can you blamer her? The lure of the steeple skyline and marshes is really hard for anyone to resist.

Lizzie and Tyler love everything about Charleston! They live minutes from downtown and come into the city as much as possible. In early December, Tyler took Lizzie to James Island county park to ask her to marry him! Spoiler alert, she said YES! Little did Lizzie know, her sister was there snapping candid pictures during the proposal. Lizzie called her mom so excited to tell her the news. Not realizing that her mom not only knew, but had her own surprise for her. When they arrived back at Tyler’s apartment, Lizzie’s mom and all their family was there waiting for them to congratulate them on starting this new journey in their life.

Do you want to know what I love about what I do? Even though I am not Lizzie and Tyler’s wedding photographer, I love the fact that I was able to help them capture this season in their lives. No matter where life takes them, Charleston is going to hold a special place in their hearts! And in June, I will be excited to wait and see the first glimpses of their wedding day when they posts sneak peeks! Lizzie and Tyler, I had the best time with y’all! I am so excited for your journey in life together!
