[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ne of my absolute favorite times as a Charleston wedding photographer is with my couples during their engagement session in the historic neighborhoods! This is the time when we really get to know each other and we get to see so many amazing buildings and gardens. Brenna and Trey are high school sweethearts! They met in Calculus class when Trey sat in the seat behind Brenna! Their first dinner date was at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, which happens to be the first place Mike and I went to dinner together! That bread and olive oil dip must have some secret powers for a lasting relationship!!

Trey hasn’t proposed to Brenna once!!! He has actually planned TWO proposals. Their first proposal was a promposal! After high school, they both attended Clemson University. So it was only fitting that this past Fall, Trey planned a proposal at a Clemson football game. He surprised Brenna before the Duke game by getting down on one knee. Spoiler alert, she said YES! And they joined their families after at the pre-game tailgate to celebrate! Thankfully Clemson beat Duke, sealing this proposal as a really sweet one!

As we chatted and took their engagement portraits, I got to know these two so much better. What stuck out most to me was Trey’s incredible attention to detail! He happily told me that they started dating on November 5th at 3:30pm in high school. I am so impressed that Trey knows to the hour and minute that he became Brenna’s boyfriend! Soulmates does not quite describe that!!! I am so excited to join these two in November of this year for Brenna and Trey to make some new November memories at their wedding!!
