[dropcap]I[/dropcap] am always blown away at the connections that I am able to make within my little photography world. I started this journey as a stay at home mom, taking an online class and just hoping to make a little side business from taking pictures. I could have never dreamed that would turn into meeting and connecting with people all over the world. Avery is one of those people!!!!

Avery and I met through an online photography course! We started following each other on social media, and that soon turned into frequent messages about loving each other’s work! So, when Avery reached out to tell me that she was coming to Charleston with her boyfriend, Sasha (Yes, our names rhyme and yes we made a big deal about it), I couldn’t say yes to a session with them fast enough.

Avery has been to Charleston often but this was Sasha’s first trip! As luck would have it, weather was not looking like it was going to be on our side. We are bracing for Hurricane Dorian and crossing our fingers that Charleston wouldn’t be hit too bad. So, Avery and Sasha move their flight to an earlier flight last Saturday morning! Which means a 4 am wake up call to fly to Charleston from Pennsylvania. They quickly grab a rental car, go shopping on King St for some new clothes for Sasha and meet me just as the drizzle was stopping!

Finally, Avery and I are able to meet in person. And she is just as bubbly and light-hearted as I expected! Avery is a talented wedding photographer!! And her and Sasha met on an airplane! A love story set in the clouds! Avery and Sasha show up looking like a million bucks! I have said it before, and I will say it again, I have the best dressed clients. Plus everyone knows I love a good Lilly Pulitzer dress! And that little white dress had everyone congratulating these two, which got the most amazing laughs and giggles out of them.

We ended our time at the beach! Now remember, there is a hurricane headed to Charleston, so I was skeptically optimistic as to what conditions we would be met with when we arrive at the beach. Thankfully, we had a gorgeous breeze and a low tide. And Sasha gets bonus points for walking the bike out to the beach. They quickly change in their car, because you have to have a flowy dress on the beach! And this blue one from Lulus is what my dreams are made of! Sasha gets points again, because I not only ask him to walk into the water, but to actually sit down in it!! Sasha, you sir, are a good sport!!!!

We end our time with hugs, boomerangs for Instagram and best wishes! I know for a fact that I will see these two again. I just love them both! And Avery, when y’all need a wedding photographer, you know who to call!! WINK WINK!
