Megan and TJ | Hilton Head Island and Bluffton Engagement Session

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] am SO excited to share this session with y’all! Megan and TJ are one of my 2021 couples, and last week we took a little road trip to Hilton Head Island and Bluffton to capture their engagement session! Megan and TJ reached out in the Spring about their December wedding next year at Lowndes Grove. Because of Covid, we decided to have a virtual chat about their wedding day. I literally hung up the phone call, and told my husband I would be devastated to not be their photographer!

Megan and TJ both have this amazing kindness that radiates through each of their smiles! They both beamed from ear to ear on the video chat as they told me about how they met on Megan’s birthday! 3 years later, TJ rented the same venue that they met at to propose. However with everything going on in the world, TJ decided that he wasn’t going to wait any longer and asked Megan to marry him on a hike with their dog Apollo as his official wingman. I have this theory that most proposals do not go as originally planned, and they end up being more perfect that way!

When we started chatting about their engagement pictures, I told them we could literally go anywhere. Megan and TJ live in Atlanta, but Bluffton and Hilton Head Island are very special to them! They have a favorite coffee bar in downtown Bluffton and Megan’s sister lives in Hilton Head. So, it was clear that we were going to take this engagement session on the road!

Megan, TJ and Apollo (Y’all know Apollo had to come for the engagement session! Fur-babies are always a yes for me!) met us in downtown Bluffton! Bluffton is the absolute cutest town I think I have ever seen! Megan and TJ showed off their model skills in the golden light, introduced me to Corner Perk and Apollo stole the show a few times! We then headed to Hilton Head Island to chase that sunset glow on the beach! And when a couple requests water shots, I know we are in for some magic!

Megan and TJ, I don’t know if I have ever laughed so hard at an engagement session!  You both bring out the absolute best in each other, it only took me 5 minutes to see that! And if your engagement session was this fun, can you imagine how incredible your wedding day will be next year! Oh, 2021 will be going out with an absolute bang! I can not wait y’all!
