A Charleston Micro Wedding
For Kayla and Thinh, a Charleston micro wedding inside Merchants Hall in Charleston, South Carolina was one of the best days of their lives! When Kayla reached out about wedding photography, and she mentioned the word DISNEY, I knew we were a match made in heaven. If you know anything about me, you know I am a Disney fanatic! Kayla spent a semester at Disney World during college and Thinh joined the United States Navy. And two years ago, right before their 10 year anniversary together, Thinh proposed to Kayla at Disney World. Their love story is indeed a fairytale!
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, these two high school sweethearts had to make adjustments to their wedding day, but handled it with such love and grace. Kayla was stunning in her wedding gown and Thinh was dashing in his Navy uniform. They had every vibe of Officer and A Gentleman on their special day. They were surrounded by close family and friends who loved and cherished them!
First Look at the Custom House
After sharing a first look with her Dad and brothers, Kayla and Thinh shared an intimate first look on the steps of the Custom House. Both grinning from ear to ear, you could see their love for one another in the sparkle of their eyes when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.
Fairytale Portraits at The Custom House
After their first look, Kayla and Thinh exchanged private vows outside The Custom House in Charleston. Beautiful and emotional, these moments will not be forgotten. The gorgeous steps and grandiose, white columns were the perfect setting for this fairytale.
Merchants Hall Ceremony
Originally, Kayla and Thinh were expecting 200 guests and had already paid in full. With Covid-19 and military Covid restrictions, only nine guests were in attendance. The amazing vendor team went all out for this large wedding turned micro wedding. The floral arch plus florals hanging from the ceiling behind a beautiful chandelier were a show stopper! A soft, pale blue color palette for the tablescape combined with all white florals was both elegant and romantic. Merchants Hall has never looked so lovely. The ceremony itself was intimate and intentional. Kayla and Thinh had dreamed of becoming husband and wife for 10 years and the day was finally here.
Newlywed Portraits
After the ceremony, we took their first photos as husband and wife inside Merchants Hall. Then we headed outside to the streets of Charleston to capture a few more shots and get some family portraits. It was definitely time to celebrate!
The Reception
A lovely reception followed with the sweetest of moments. Dancing and sentimental toasts were shared. This day was just the beginning of the fairytale love story that will continue for years to come.
This was truly the sweetest and most intimate of weddings. Kayla and Thinh, you two are perfect for each other. Your marriage is such a gift! It has been such an honor and delight to celebrate these moments with you. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hoang!
