[dropcap]I[/dropcap]first met Bobby and Hannah last year when I was taking family pictures for Bobby’s family! We were on the beach at Isle of Palms and I made sure to take them to the side to capture a few of them by themselves. I loved every minute of meeting Bobby’s sweet family and Hannah! So, when Bobby’s sister in law reached out to me again and explained the surprise Bobby was planning, I was ecstatic!

Kristen and Bobby’s mom told me all about Bobby wanting to propose to Hannah! So, I hopped on the phone with Bobby to plan how it would happen. Bobby was going to take Hannah to meet friends at a restaurant while everyone gathered at their beach house. Bobby made sure to have all of Hannah’s family come into town! Since Hannah had met me before, I was to try and disguise myself as a beach-goer! When Hannah and Bobby finished and started to head back home, I made sure to get in place! I laid out my beach towel, grabbed a book to read and made sure my camera was ready to go!

When I caught a glimpse of Hannah and Bobby walking onto the beach, I made sure to discreetly stand up and walk to the shoreline. I watched as Bobby grabbed Hannah’s hand and dropped to one knee! TEARS!! All of their family had gathered onto the porches to watch! Hannah said YES! And as her and Bobby were embracing, she caught a glimpse of me! SURPRISE! Hannah didn’t know that the surprises were not ending there.

I congratulated them and asked if we could take a few pictures!! They were super happy to pose for a few for me, and that is when Hannah looked over at the house! She saw her family, Bobby’s family and their friends on the porch! They were each holding up large print outs of pictures of Hannah and Bobby! Tears again! We joined their family at the house for a wonderful celebration of their new engagement!

Hannah and Bobby tearfully hugged everyone! They then celebrated with some champagne and moved into the house for some fun! Hannah’s grandma explained that when Hannah’s parents got engaged, her dad pulled out a bottle of Sambuca to have a celebratory drink! So the tradition continued, as everyone rose a shot glass to toast to Hannah and Bobby! I am a sucker for traditions!!!
