Downtown Charleston Sunrise Engagement Session

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]magine my surprise when I got an email from a newly engaged couple saying that they had gotten engaged that day and wanted to chat about their wedding photography. Jana explained that she used to work with one of my brides, Laura, who got married early last year and loved their wedding portraits. And once I chatted with Jana about her and Sam’s life and love story, the fact that they both went to College of Charleston like me, and Jana’s passion for photography, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this journey with them.

Jana has always dreamed of getting married at her parent’s home in historic Summerville. And I am a sucker for all things tradition. And how sweet it will be for Jana and Sam to reminisce about their wedding day every time they go back home!

So when it came time for their engagement session, I was over the moon to finally meet these two. They decided to have their engagement portraits around downtown Charleston at sunrise. I love how empty the streets are at sunrise. We practically had the entire Holy City to ourselves. Jana and Sam, y’all are so incredibly sweet!
