Downtown Charleston Engagement Session

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]aley and Drew came around the corner inside the Mills House Hotel and I might have gasped. I mean, beyond the fact that they are such a sweet and cute couple, they were dressed to the tee!!! Haley and I met late last summer! She was visiting Charleston and booked a headshot session with me. Afterwards we went to breakfast and minutes turned into hours. She gushed over her boyfriend at the time, who was back home in Illinois. She was hopeful that the two of them would move to Charleston one day.

A few months later, Haley and Drew make the announcement that they are engaged!! YAY!!! And that the two of them would be moving to Charleston. So when Haley reached out to me to ask me to take their engagement portraits, I was ecstatic!!! I also was working on a project at the time, and just knew that Haley and Drew would be an amazing fit for my Behind the Scenes video!! Take a look to see us in action!!

We started on cobblestones and ended on Rainbow Row and it was the perfect welcome to The Holy City for these midwesterners. Haley and Drew relived their love story between shots! They shared with me and Jessie all of the amazing details about how they met in class and shared Sour Patch kids for an entire semester! Haley and Drew laughed, stole kisses between shots, snuggled close and chased the sunset with us.

I am sharing just a handful of my favorites, but let me tell you it was so hard to narrow them down for y’all!! Haley and Drew, thank you for running around downtown with me!! Thank you for allowing me to film this entire experience for everyone to enjoy!! Y’all are amazing! And I hope that this was the PERFECT start to your Charleston journey! XO
