Liz & Austin | A Gadsden House Wedding

Liz & Austin | Gadsden House Charleston SC

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ave you ever had one of those days that you wish you could live over and over again? February 1st, 2020 is definitely going into the history book of being one of those days for me. Liz and Austin’s wedding day was exactly how I imagined it would be. Full of love, laughter and dancing. And once I met each of their family and friends, it became evident why I knew I loved these two SO much!

I started the day with Liz and her amazing bridesmaids. When you walk into a getting ready room and the music is blaring, everyone is laughing and having a good time, you just know that you are about to have a really fun day! And the best part, I had already met a few of Liz’s bridesmaids. Her sisters, Anne Thomas and Catherine joined us on the beach at their engagement session. So, it was like a little mini reunion with all of us! I also finally got to meet Liz’s mom, and once I met her, I instantly knew why Liz and her sisters were such sweethearts.

Liz asked to do a first look with her dad before heading to a first look with Austin. And I absolutely ADORE daddy/daughter first looks. Daddy loved you first, so I think it is so special to give him that time with his baby girl. And Liz and her dad had the sweetest first look. I loved how he asked if she would be able to move on the dance floor with him later in her dress, and spun her around a few times just to make sure. It’s moments like that, that I know how incredibly blessed I am to be a fly on the wall on wedding days.

Now it was time for Liz to see Austin for the first time. And y’all, I am pretty sure I kept saying AWE!! over and over again. Austin lit up!!! He kept saying “would you just look at her”, as he stared lovingly at his beautiful bride!! These two made portraits so easy! Their love for each other and the way that they interact with each other was pouring out of them during our time together.

The thing that I always pay attention to is what everyone has to say to me about my couple. And the resounding theme is that Liz and Austin have servant’s hearts. They love and serve everyone that they meet. Liz meets you with the warmest smile, while Austin is never short of a witty quip. They are warm and welcoming to everyone that they see!

Liz and Austin, I don’t even know if I could ever have the appropriate amount of words to describe to y’all what an honor it was to be a small part of your day! Capturing days like yours, with people like y’all and your friends and family is quite literally a dream come true. I feel so blessed to have witnessed your day, to know you both and to call you my friends!! Continue to dance, laugh and love each other! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hubbard! I love you both!
