Tara & Enoch | A Rainy Charleston Engagement Session

Rainy Charleston Engagement Session at Hibernian Hall

Tara & Enoch | A Rainy Charleston Engagement Session

Summertime in Charleston usually means that we get an afternoon thunderstorm. So when couples set up their engagement session, I am watching the weather forecast like a hawk. Tara and Enoch’s session was approaching, and the weather forecast looked amazing!!! There was no chance of rain at all!! But as we were on our way to meet up, the skies had a different plan in mind. Normally I would suggest that we reschedule, but Tara and Enoch were only in town for the day. They were checking off wedding to do lists! Tara had her makeup and hair beautifully done by Shadows and Shears, and we were not going to let all of this beauty go to waste! So I told Tara and Enoch we were going to make their Rainy Charleston engagement session work, to just trust me!!

When I met these two at The Mills House hotel lobby and saw how incredibly stunning they were in their first outfits, I knew that even with the rain, we were going to get magazine worthy images for them! Tara had on the most gorgeous gown and Enoch was dressed the the tee, both looking like super models! We took cover under the porch of Hibernian Hall with it’s checkered floors and white columns. I knew that I wanted to capture timeless portraits for these two, with a bit of passion. And Tara and Enoch did not disappoint!

Once I knew that we had so many amazing portraits, I asked them to step into the rain. And y’all, this is when even more magic happened. I don’t know anyone who can make walking in the rain look so glamorous as Tara and Enoch did! They embraced their engagement session and shared so many laughs with us. We chatted about their kids and upcoming school plans. And about their quickly approaching wedding day. Tara and Enoch, y’all made my job so easy! I can NOT tell you how excited I am to join you on your wedding day! I can not wait to meet your kids and family, and to capture all of the tears and laughter! See y’all soon!

XO Natasha
