Tara and Enoch | East Bay Manor Wedding

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] fell in love with Tara as soon as I met her on a video call this summer! From the first time the video loaded, I could see a smile from ear to ear and a warmth about her that made me feel like we were old friends! So when it was time to meet her fiancé who she gushed over on video at their engagement session, I had high hopes y’all!! And let me tell you something. Tara and Enoch did not disappoint. While Tara is admittedly more of a conversationalist, I knew from the time that I met Enoch that he was the perfect yin to her yang. A bit quieter, introspective, but every once and awhile a smile from ear to ear would flash across his face, usually when looking at Tara, and I felt the warmth!

That’s what Tara and Enoch’s wedding day at East Bay Manor felt like! It was a warm and inviting day, designed around intention. Tara and Enoch have three wonderful children, two teenage boys and a little girl. With their children and a small group of family and friends by their side, Tara and Enoch’s day was in full swing as I walked into East Bay Manor. I watched how their day carefully unfolded, no detail missed. Tears overwhelmed me as Tara had a first look with their daughter, who had a special gift to deliver to her mom from dad. Two beautiful princesses standing next to each other, and looking at them both, I was telling myself how incredibly special they will have this moment to look back on together.

Next it was time for Tara and Enoch’s first look together. Enoch waited patiently on the veranda overlooking East Bay Street as Tara took her place ready to see her groom. Tara took a few deep breathes, placed her hand on her chest, and called out to her groom. As Enoch turned slowly to see her, the tears started forming and I do not think any of us could hold them back any longer. They gently wiped away each others tears and took in each other as they shared this intimate moment. Their first look was hands down, one of the most emotional and sweetest first looks I have ever witnessed.

During their ceremony, Tara and Enoch had their children standing at the alter with them. They vowed to not only each other, but to their children, to love and honor one another. They made precious promises as a family and it touched everyone’s heart in the courtyard. I watched as guests wiped tears, passing tissue to each other and grasping hands as they looked on. I felt in that moment that I was witnessing an amazing memory that all 5 of them will keep with them forever.

After the ceremony, we drove over to Hampton Park to capture more amazing portraits of Tara and Enoch with their children. The Spanish moss was glowing like twinkle lights on the path. As we arrived back at East Bay Manor, it was time to dine al fresco on the veranda. The table was set family style, where everyone sat together. This is one of the things that I love most about micro weddings, everyone gets to be together. As the speeches started, I was blown away as both of their sons stood up and delivered some of the best speeches I have ever heard. Then, I watched as each guest stood up and delivered their blessings, stories and love for Tara and Enoch. At the end of toasts, Enoch asked for the microphone. And we all listened as he thanked every single person one by one at the table and shared his love for them. Tara and Enoch have this way about them, they love deeply and you can tell by how Enoch spoke about each person at the dining table.

It was time to move this party downstairs and start the dances. Tara and Enoch quickly changed their attire! Enoch is originally from Ghana and Tara is a from North Carolina, but both of them were represented in their day. Tara changed from her gown into a colorful dress with bright African patterns with deep meaning. And just as I thought I couldn’t be touched with anymore intentional moments, Tara and Enoch shared special dances with each of the kids. I loved how each dance represented what I could see was representation of each of their relationships. When I say this day was full of intentional moments, I mean it. Everything about Tara and Enoch’s wedding day was exactly what I feel from their presence, warmth and intention.

I hope you all love reliving their East Bay Manor wedding day just as much as I do! Tara and Enoch, thank you for trusting me to not only capture your memories, but your families memories as well. My prayer is that y’all will share this stories around the dinner table as you continue on as Mr and Mrs Glover. I do not take that job lightly, and I feel so honored to have been a part of your day! XO Natasha
